Wraps
Wraps are long pieces of fabric that you 'wrap' around you securing baby close to your body. These are extremely versatile. There are two main types of wraps, the stretchy wrap and the woven wrap. The stretchy wrap stretches to allow you little one to be really snug. It does not stretch lengthwise, as that would not be safe. Baby can be worn on the front wearing a stretchy wrap, but should not be worn on the back , as the baby can push off your back and since the fabric stretches, can flip out. These are generally comfortable for the newborn till 15-20lbs.
Woven wraps are not stretchy, and can safely secure a child on the front, back, hip of anyway you can imagine. Woven wraps can be used from infancy until the child no longer wants to be carried. Recommended for infant - 40lbs.
The Hybrid Wrap has a little stretch to it, but not much and can safely be used on your back as well. These wraps will last you from infancy till they are done being carried, generally around 40lbs.
Water wraps are quick drying to be comfortable in the summer pools, or in the shower. Recommended only for infant to 15lbs and only in a front carry.

What is the difference in the Wraps?
First, let's look at the Stretchy Wraps - The Moby is a great starter wrap. It comes in many colors and styles and the cost is very affordable for a first time mother, or as a gift. The cotton is very soft, think like a soft stretchy shirt. It is very breathable and supportive without being too hot. It has just the right amount of stretch for taking an infant in and out of the wrap. Because of the stretch, these wraps are not considered safe for back carries, and tend to sag, or pull on the shoulders with heavier children. Most parents find them comfortable until about 20lbs, then choose another carrier for continued wear. This wrap, because it does have a good stretch to it, is not recommended for back carriers.
The Bali Stretch Hybrid has taken patterns to a whole new level! These beautiful wraps are wider than the Moby, and made more of a T-shirt type cotton. It has just a little give, but not much, making this a safe wrap for back carriers as well. Along with their beauty, these wraps are a great investment for someone who wants to wrap their child from infancy into toddlerhood. The Bali Stretch, when compared to other wraps that carry the from infant to toddlerhood, is an incredible deal.
Wovens Wraps are beautifully woven out of 100% cotton. The colors used to make these patters are vibrant and gorgeous. The Dolcino wrap is made in Germany with the highest quality standards. Though it is a true woven wrap, the cotton is extremely soft from the beginning and will soften even more with use and wear. The material is not as think as other commonly known woven wraps, yet sturdy enough to be worn through toddlerhood.
The Bali Breeze wraps are manufactured from a bottom weight gauze material, making these the lightest and most breathable 'woven' wraps out there. For those who are concerned about the knot being too bulky, this is the answer! The color patterns are unique and beautiful. Functionality is not at all compromised with the thinner material. The price point of these wraps make them an excellent choice for the beginning wrapper.
We are proud to offer Water Wraps, made from a knitted polyester, similar to a swim suit material. These allow a two shouldered option to the pool or beach, allowing baby to be securely attached at all times. The material is quick drying. Because of the stretchy material, this wrap is not recommended for toddlers (who would probably rather splash in the pool regardless) and can not be worn on the back. As with any water play, stay aware of your infant and that their heads remain out of the water - use common sense.
